Beyoncé releases disco new single “Break My Soul”

Three hours before the announcement of the release of her new single, Beyoncé surprisingly released “Break My Soul”, the first single from her upcoming seventh solo studio album “Renaissance” and it is Bey jam fans waiting: A drive dance song, co-produced from Tricky Stewart and The-Dream’s “Single Ladies” team, with clicks, insistent hooks, hot beats and periodic exhortations from Big Freedia:

“Free your anger, free your mind / Free your work, free your time / Free your time / Free your trade, free your stress / Free your love, forget the rest.”

Also in the credit are Jay-Z, Adam Pigot (also known as BlaqNmilD, who has worked with Drake, Quavo, Megan Thee Stallion and many others), Freddie Ross, also known as Big Freedia, and the screenwriters of the hit Robin S since 1993 “Show Me Love”, which is set in a prominent place in the song.

For his part, Bay is announcing both his return and the disco theme of the song: The title is reversed, saying “You Won’t Break My Soul,” followed by a statement of intent:

“I’m going to let my hair down because I lost my mind. Bay came back and slept very well at night. The Queen is in front and the House is behind. It will not move, but the whole clique has broken.

It is filled with appropriate lines for the dance floor such as: “Motivation / I am looking for a new foundation / I am on this new vibration / I am building my own foundation” and repeated exhortation of “Everyone”.

Seemingly little for big streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, the song originally only appeared on Tidal, a streaming service co-owned by Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, three hours before the midnight release date announced for ET and Vevo. YouTube about an hour later. Beyoncé has a history of this: her 2016 album Lemonade was only available on Tidal for three years, a move that probably cost her millions of streaming rewards.

Beyoncé announced early Thursday that the long-awaited album will arrive on July 29. Sources tell Variety that the album will include both dance and country tracks, the source said, with contributions from songwriter Ryan Teder, who co-wrote the 2008 hit “Halo,” as well as hits for Adele, Taylor Swift and Jonas Bros. . and his own band OneRepublic. Rafael Saadik is also said to have made hits for Mary J. Blige, D’Angelo, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Andra Day, as well as his own excellent solo albums and the extensively produced “A Seat at the Table”. Beyoncé Solange’s acclaimed 2016 album

It was unclear whether the country songs would appear as a separate album or as part of the first edition of Renaissance. Country is not new ground for the singer: “Daddy Lessons” from “Lemonade” from 2016, is a heavy sound and was even covered by Chicks (then known as Dixie Chicks).

Fans have already found information that suggests that the album will contain 16 tracks, and the fact that this is a multi-part edition, it is clear from the person that it is charged as “Act 1”. Beyoncé’s website also included pre-orders for four different box sets for the album, charging “Pose” 1-4 and including a CD, T-shirt and box. However, since they are all delivered on the day the album was released, it seems likely that they are just different packages for Act 1.

The singer warned that something is coming earlier this month, when she deleted her social media accounts, which, as proof of the lack of profile photos, are not yet fully filled.

Beyoncé actually released four albums from her blockbuster in 2016, “Lemonade”, although none of them are complete solo albums of Beyonce: In 2018, she dropped “Everything Is Love”, a team with her husband Jay-Z under the name The Carters; in April 2019, she released Homecoming, an album with her exciting 2018 headlining performance at Coachella, for which she was accompanied by a full marching band (which was also released specifically for Netflix as part of a $ 60 million deal and this summer she followed with “The Lion King: The Gift”, an accompanying album to the Disney movie, which includes several new songs from her – including contributions from Kendrick Lamar, Donald Glover and others – as well as songs featuring 070 Shake , Tierra Whack and African artists such as Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Tiwa Savage and others, a luxury edition of this album, including three additional tracks, was released a year later.
