Former Unbound Gravel winner Colin Strickland has denied having a secret affair with Moria Wilson, who was killed on May 11. Strickland’s current girlfriend, Caitlin Armstrong, has been on the run for more than a month after she was linked to the murder of cyclist Wilson.
According to the US Sun, Strickland said he met with Wilson briefly when he and Armstrong were on vacation. He said Armstrong had seen other people during that time.
Strickland said he contacted Armstrong because he “shared business interests.” But he reiterated that he and Wilson had only met for a week.
“I had ended my relationship with Caitlin and it was just an interesting moment because Moe had come to Austin to visit a friend that very week,” he told The Sun. “It was completely unplanned and yes, we started spending some time together. This was clear to Caitlin at the time, and Caitlin was dating other men immediately afterwards.
“Obviously we went in different ways, but we just didn’t get enough momentum to separate,” he said.

The gravel racer also said he had not actually been in contact with Wilson after the week-long throw. “Mo and I talked about twice a month after that, and I think he was distorted in a very misleading way in the swearing-in statements,” Strickland said.
Strickland added that he and Armstrong patched things up because “Caitlin and I were involved in several businesses together.” He also said he was shocked to learn that Armstrong was wanted in connection with the murder. “I would say she’s one of the least volatile people I’ve ever met, and that’s why it’s so shocking. She had aspects of her personality that I don’t think she shared with anyone. I had no indication of such a thing. “

I haven’t ridden a bike in six weeks. I rode a bicycle to travel to work to go to therapy meetings and that’s really all.
Strickland said he hopes the therapy will help with the situation.
