Police were called to Centennial Park in Rutland on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. when a witness said he saw a black pistol falling from a belt of a suspect’s pants.
The man reportedly picked up the item and kept walking, prompting a call to 911. Kelowna’s RCMP arrived a little later and found the man.
“The officers pulled out their pistols and ordered the man to obey. The man refused to carry out the officer’s orders, “said Const. Mike Della-Paolera of RCMP Kelowna.
