A man died after a crash at Hamilton Airport

A man is dead after a crash at Hamilton Airport early Saturday morning.

Ambulances responded to a collision with a car at John K. Munro Airport shortly after 2:15 p.m.

Five people were transported to local hospitals, and the driver, a 52-year-old Hamilton man, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, Hamilton police said.

The other four passengers were slightly injured.

“The clash recovery unit of the HPS together with the Federal Ministry of Labor are continuing the investigation. The airport’s operations were not affected by the investigation into the clash, police said in a statement on Saturday afternoon.

The cause of the collision is unknown.
