OLIVIERO, Antonio – Obituary – Sault Ste. Marie

With broken hearts we announce the death of Antonio after a long and brave battle with cancer, at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the age of 75.

Beloved husband and best friend of the Annunciation (born Paris) for 55 years. The covenant father of Cathy (Joe), Nancy (Eliza), Josie Jennings (Dion). Many special congratulations to Nick Olivier (Stephanie), Matthew Olivier and Olivia Jennings. Proud great-grandfather of Anthony Olivier. He died of his parents Giuseppe and Rosa. Covenant brother of four sisters, one brother from Ercolano, Naples, Italy. Son-in-law of the late Luigi and the late Catherine Parisi. Son-in-law of two sisters and one deceased brother. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews and special friends.

Antonio worked at Algoma Steel # 2 BOSP for 37 years before retiring to fully enjoy all the things he loved most in life. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, making everyone laugh. He enjoyed cooking with his wife, chef Antonio, circling the leaflets to find the best specialties, fishing, walking and enjoying his wine. Although nothing brought him such joy as spending time with his great-grandson Anthony.

A private family funeral was held at the Northwood Cremation and Reception Center (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758). Instead of memorial flower donations made to The War Amps, the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by the family. www.northwoodfuneral.com
