Hamilton police called for three shootings within 80 minutes

Hamilton police say they were called to three shootings that occurred within 80 minutes on Monday, including an incident in which someone was hit by a shooting.

Investigators say they were called to a home rented by AirBmB in the Mohawk Road West area and Magnolia Driver at 10:30 p.m.

“One of the occupants fired a careless firearm at the home, causing minor damage,” officials said on Tuesday.

The suspect in the incident was described as a white man in his 30s, five feet tall and nine inches tall with a medium build.

About ten minutes later, police were called to Main Street East and Holton Avenue South for a new shooting.

One person was injured in the shooting and had to be transported to a hospital to treat his non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect in the incident fled the scene before police arrived.

He is described as a black man, five feet ten inches tall, with short dreadlocks, wearing a blue suit and white sneakers.

At 11:50 p.m., police were called to a third shooting scene on Douglas and Mars Boulevards.

Investigators found evidence of multiple shots fired at a home.

No one was injured in the incident.

Investigators say they are asking anyone who was nearby around 11:15 pm who has a surveillance camera or dashboard to contact them.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the criminal investigation branches of Division 1 or Division Three or Crime Stoppers.
