US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said Russia’s military capabilities should deteriorate after he and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and announced more US military aid to the country.
“We want to see Russia weakened to the point that it cannot do the things it did when it invaded Ukraine,” Mr Austin said Monday after a top-level visit by US officials to Kyiv since Russia invaded Ukraine. on February 24th. Mr Blinken said: “Russia is failing, Ukraine is succeeding.”
