Some legends never die. The Witches are back in Hocus Pocus 2 this season on Halloween, the long-awaited sequel to the Halloween classic coming to Disney + on September 30, 2022.

The teaser takes us back to Salem, Massachusetts, to introduce a new group of characters who eventually resurrect the Sanderson sisters, who have been lurking all these years. “Lock your children! Salem, we’re back! ” the sisters announce the end of this first teaser of Hocus Pocus 2, which also annoys the return of Billy Butcherson and, of course, the black cat.
The film was hailed as a “ghostly sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic,” with Beth Middler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katie Najimi returning as Sanderson’s favorite sisters.
“It has been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters who were executed for practicing sorcery, and they are seeking revenge. Now it’s up to three high school students to figure out how to stop the predatory witches from wreaking havoc in Salem before midnight on All Halloween.
Anne Fletcher (The Guilt Trip) directed the film, and the cast also includes Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson, a fan-favorite character in the original 1993 film.
They are joined by Whitney Peake (“The Gossip Girl”, “Molly’s Game”) as Becca, Lily Buckingham (“Dirt”, “Crown Lake”) as Cassie and Belissa Escobedo (“American Horror Stories”, “Baker and the Beauty”). “”) Like Izzy, three young women in today’s Salem who provoke the wrath of the three witches. Sam Richardson (Werewolves Within) will also participate. Arrested Development favorite Tony Hale and Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham also star in Froy Gutierrez, Juju Brenner, Taylor Page Henderson and Nina Keechon.
The 1993 film, directed by Kenny Ortega, plays Omri Katz as a curious young man who moves to Salem, Massachusetts, where he struggles to fit in before waking up a trio of devil witches (Beth Middler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katie Najimi). ), who were executed in the 17th century. The film also stars Tora Birch, who unfortunately will not return for the sequel.
