The BC prime minister dropped an F-bomb in frustration during the question period

Soap could be in the future of Prime Minister John Horgan after he used inappropriate language in the British Columbia legislature on Monday.

After a question from BC Liberal MLA Trevor Halford about the shortage of family doctors, Horgan was ruthlessly annoyed by the opposition.

“They do not want an answer, dear speaker, because they are part of the problem. That’s why, “Horgan said, trying to speak over the shout.

“Do you want to hear it?” Do you want to hear it or do you just want to hear your voice? Why don’t you go to the bathroom and talk there? You don’t want to hear answers in this place. Seriously. “

He returned to talks on federal health transfers, but was again interrupted by ridicule.

He then asked his political opponents, “Do you want a title or do you want action?”

As the mockery continued, he raised his hands, said “Ah, it’s…,” and sat down. The comment ended the period of questions.

President Raj Chuhan expressed his disappointment with both sides of the legislature.

“I am just so disappointed in all of you. During the question period, I have said many times, “Please listen to the question and hear the answer.” Once this is over, do not do it in person. Let’s act like adults, please. “

Three hours later, he withdrew the comment from the recording.

“My passion for healthcare overcame me and I made some unrestrained comments that may offend the members of this house and others. I apologize for this and unreservedly withdraw my remarks, “he said in a statement.

Hanging is common during the period of questions and tensions between BC Liberals and BC NDP have increased over the past few months.

The noise was strongest during Horgan’s responses because of his frustration with the official public position on access to health care.
