When Mr Tahbaz was arrested, his wife, Roxana’s mother, traveled to Iran to be with him. She was then banned from traveling by the Iranian authorities and has not been able to leave the country since.
“My parents have been together for more than forty years and they are pillars of strength for each other,” Roxana said.
“It’s hard not to know when they will return to their lives, to their children, to their homes.
“You feel that everything you do and everything you do, you never know when it will be enough to make a change.
Roxana continues the campaign for the release of her father and the return of her mother to the United Kingdom.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Community and Development told 5 Live: “Iran has not kept its commitment to release Morad from prison indefinitely. Continuing its horrific ordeal sends a clear message to the international community that Iran is not honoring its commitments.
“We continue to call on the Iranian authorities to release him immediately whenever possible.
