Environment Canada confirmed that 3 tornadoes landed in Saskatchewan

Environment Canada confirmed that three tornadoes landed in Saskatchewan on Wednesday afternoon.

The tornadoes were near Lake Piana, Manitu / Vatrus beach and the Simrik / Govan area.

Highway 16 was closed because a tornado near Lake Fum, about 200 kilometers northeast of Regina, knocked down the grain bins and pushed them into the road. In addition, power lines were cut off and CP rail trains had to be suspended, according to the Federal Meteorological Agency.

The Watrous and Manitou Beach area is about 150 km west of Foam Lake. The Cymric / Govan area is about 100 km northwest of Regina.

There were two other possible touchdowns in the Cymric / Govan area around 18:00 CST., Which Environment Canada will investigate.
