Okanagan Lake Fire
There was a fire on Okanagan Lake this afternoon just off the shore of Rotary Beach on Lakeshore Road.
Castanet received a news alert just after 4:00 p.m. that there was potentially a boat and dock on fire.
At the scene, several onlookers told Castanet that was not the case, and the Kelowna Fire Department later confirmed that a tube had caught fire near the dock.
The fire department was ready with its MR2 team, but was canceled after the crew arrived by truck.
No one was hurt and people stayed on the beach enjoying the weather.
