Three elderly men missing after child rescued from river, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says

Three elderly men remain unaccounted for after Sacramento County deputies responded to a potential drowning near the Three Mile Slough Bridge in California, authorities said. On Sunday, five adults were on the riverbank near a child swimming in the water, according to a spokesman for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. When the child began to drown, he added, all five adults entered the river to save them. The child was successfully rescued, but three of the adults did not get out of the water. “Deputies searched the waterways with negative results,” the spokesman added. “After exhausting all search efforts, deputies turned their attention to recovery.”
