A Florida man’s arm was blown off by fireworks early Saturday morning.
Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office received a call about a fireworks incident just after 1 a.m. in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida on Saturday, according to FOX 35 Orlando.
When Broward Sheriff’s EMS responded to the incident, the man and his arm were taken to an area hospital, according to the report.
The person was later taken to another hospital by ambulance.

A witness told 7News the incident happened suddenly.
“It wasn’t even five minutes because as soon as he lit it, it exploded,” the person said, according to the report.
The man was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, but the hand was taken to the hospital by Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue personnel, according to the report.

According to the witness, his arm failed to be reattached at the hospital.
“There was nothing they could do,” the witness said.
