On Tuesday, Tropical Storm Bonnie became the first major hurricane of the season in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) issued warnings for the storm, which was several hundred miles south of southwestern Mexico.
It crossed Central America from the Caribbean, dumped heavy rain and contributed to at least two deaths.
However, forecasters said they expect the hurricane to pose no threat to landfall.
