It’s in memory of the victims of Monday’s shooting at the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois, DeWine said.

Lake County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said at a news conference Tuesday that 21-year-old Robert E. Crimo III, who allegedly shot and killed at least six people and wounded about 30 on Monday, acted alone and had been planning the shooting for several weeks.

DeWine ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff from Tuesday, July 5, until sunset, Friday, July 9.
