An adult was transported to Ottawa Trauma Center in critical condition after a shooting incident in South Ottawa Tuesday afternoon.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service said it was dispatched to the scene at 12:40 p.m
No further details were available on the victim’s age or gender.
Ottawa police said earlier they responded to a shooting incident in the 2000 block of Banff Avenue.
Residents were urged to avoid the area.
Banff Avenue runs between Walkley Road and Ledbury Park just east of Bank Street in South Ottawa.
