The bond was set at $ 1 million for a teenager accused of killing a 10-year-old girl from Chippewa Falls earlier this week.
At 13:00 on Wednesday in branch 3 in the Chipeva district court, a hearing was held for a teenager identified with the initials of the CPB in the death of Iliana “Lily” Peters.
Police say Peters was found dead near a sidewalk around 9:15 a.m. Monday after she was reported missing by family members Sunday night. Her father contacted police at 9 p.m. after saying she had not returned from a visit to her aunt’s home.

The gravity of the accusations was discussed during Wednesday’s hearing. Due to the graphic nature of the incident with two juveniles, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS chose not to describe in detail the alleged crimes at the moment.
Chipeva Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm said on Tuesday that “the suspect was known to the victim” and added that “he is in custody”.

Police said a bicycle believed to belong to the girl was found in the woods a short distance from her aunt’s house, near the footpath between the end of North Grove and the parking lot of the Leinenkugel brewery.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family with the costs of Peters’ funeral.
