The woman from Kelowna wins the lottery

A woman from Kelowna received an early birthday present with a lottery prize of $ 2 million.
Beverly (Christine) Gilbert compared all six draw numbers on April 6, BC / 49 to a ticket purchased at the Capri Mall just days before her birthday.
“I had to scan it a lot to make sure,” she recalls of the moment she realized she had a winning ticket. “My first thought was, ‘Oh my God!’ It was surreal to see that all the numbers matched.”
Gilbert couldn’t wait to share the news with his two daughters.
“I was talking to my youngest daughter on the phone when I checked my ticket, and they were both very excited.”
Gilbert says her upcoming trip to Europe will be a little more extravagant after her big victory.
“I was planning this trip with a friend and now I will definitely get better! I will also buy an apartment, pay for my car and invest. ”
How do you feel about being $ 2 million richer?
“I am distrustful. That will make retirement much better, “she added.
