Emergency services in Edinburgh are currently working at a busy roundabout where a person was hit by a car.
Police and an Scottish ambulance rushed to the Broomehouse Drive scene this afternoon, April 14, shortly after 6:30 p.m., where an eyewitness spotted the incident from their window.
An eyewitness posted an update to a local Facebook group, saying: “A serious accident at the Broomehouse roundabout. Looks like someone was run over.”

An ambulance and several police cars can be seen in the image, with many participants stopping at the scene.
Scottish police posted an update on their social media channels, saying: “Officers are currently attending Broomehouse Drive and Broomehouse Road, Edinburgh, after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle around 6:30 p.m.
“Roads are closed and drivers are asked to use an alternative route.”

Emergency services can be seen at the first exit of the busy roundabout, heading to Sighthill Park and Calder Road.
This part of the city has already seen huge queues today due to a trailer that caught fire on the city detour near the Calder junction.
The A720 in the west near Baberton remained closed to traffic after the previous fire, and traffic was also affected by the Broomhouse Drive accident.
