Nicki Minaj says she was just trying to do something funny … and instead led all her fans to believe she was pregnant again. Spoiler alert – she isn’t.
Here’s how it all went down… before Nicki took to the stage at London’s Wireless Festival, she went live on Instagram for a little pre-show chat with the Barbz. When one of them asked if she and Kenneth Petty were expecting their second baby, she immediately replied: “I’m not fat guys, I’m pregnant. Sorry’ … and then rolled his eyes.
Of course, her screen was immediately flooded with congratulations, and then Nikki realized… “Oh, wait. Did I say it wrong? I’m sorry. I think I said it wrong. I wanted to say that I am not pregnant. I’m fat.”
Hmmm … we think Nicki is too social media savvy to make such a mistake. We smell troll work, but funny. Nikki and her husband welcomed their first child, a boy, in September 2020 – and they haven’t revealed his name yet.
As we reported, Kenneth will have plenty of face-to-face time with the child, as he was sentenced to a year of house arrest — at their luxury Calabasas mansion — for failing to register with California as a sex offender.
So Nikki is NOT pregnant now. However, we will see what happens in the next 12 months.
