Leaving your favorite houseplants and garden to fend for themselves while on holiday can be a daunting prospect, but with a little planning, a few clever tricks and some garden technology, it’s possible to go away safely for a week or two, knowing that your plants they will not dry out in your absence.
Houseplants should survive your absence for a week without suffering any ill effects, and cacti and succulents will happily handle a few weeks of neglect. Regardless of how long your vacation will be and the methods you use to water them while you’re gone, the most important task is to give all plants plenty of water as close to your departure as possible.
