All major highways in southern Manitoba will be closed from midnight or when it starts to snow, the RCMP said on Tuesday.
The closure comes in anticipation of a spring storm forecast that will bring 30 to 80 centimeters of snow to the region.
The RCMP also strongly discourages travel, advising people to make alternative plans instead.
Police also warned that first aid workers may not be able to reach drivers who are blocked or need help.
