Manchester United may make its debut against Arsenal – Samuel Luckhurst

Moving of?

One of the few positives this week at Manchester United was the sight of Alvaro Fernandez in training, as the prospect of starting Aaron Van-Bisaka and Alex Teles is a cause for fear.

Ralph Rangnik downplayed the opportunity to give Hannibal Maybri and Alejandro Garnacho time to play last week, but that was before Norwich left Old Trafford to mourn the final result and United were destroyed by Liverpool. Maybry came out at Anfield and, among the most carefree group of United players in the living memory, is clearly interested in him.

It looks like left-back Fernandez is unlikely to play on Saturday after playing with the Under-23s on Friday. Hannibal has also been named for Neil Wood’s squad and is therefore not expected to appear at the Emirates, although Garnacho may make his debut after traveling to London with the seniors.

Is Maybri starting?

Bruno Fernandes is not an obvious player to be eliminated, but his level of performance, poor before his contract was renewed, fell as his bank balance sheet increased.

Fernandez sounded like he was tweeting after the game when he was interviewed at Anfield, where he was ineffective again. Ralph Rangnik shook Fernandez when he dropped him briefly in January and Fernandez needs to be shaken again.

How does Ranknik justify starting Maguire?

Rafael Varane is back, but we have to see who will be his partner. If a poll is done, Harry Maguire will struggle to generate double digits for the percentage. Maguire was the worst of the central defenders against Liverpool, but he somehow avoided a complete relegation this season by starting a few games on the bench after returning from injury in January.

Ronaldo, Sancho and …

Marcus Rashford squandered United’s only chance to play on Tuesday night, a match that passed Anthony Elanga. Given Rangnik’s selection strategy, Rashford is likely to be eliminated and Elanga may be more compatible in a tripartite attack on Arsenal.

An end to Arsenal’s art?

Ever since Arsene Wenger’s era at Arsenal ended, United have not won an emirate in the Premier League. Unai Emery and Mikel Arteta enjoyed 2-0 victories over United and last season was an unforgettable and soulless draw without goals.

United beat Arsenal in the league for the first time in three and a half years in a return match in December.
