Russian regions near Ukraine were hit by a new wave of blasts early Wednesday, local authorities said.
An ammunition depot in the Belgorod region has reportedly been set on fire.
Alleged attacks by more aggressive Ukraine have also been observed in the Voronezh and Kursk regions.
There were unconfirmed reports in Kursk that Russian air defenses had shot down Ukrainian military drones.
Explosions were heard in the cities near Kursk and Oboyan.

Locals heard military planes flying over Oboyan.
In the Voronezh region, there were reports that Russia’s air defenses were active to repel an attack on the Baltimore Strategic Military Base.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, told the Telegram: “At approximately 03:35 I woke up to a strong blow that sounded like an explosion. As I was writing this post, three more explosions were heard. “
He said: “According to preliminary information, an ammunition depot near the village of Stara Nelidovka is on fire.
No civilian casualties were reported.
All three regions, Belgorod, Voronezh and Kursk, border Ukraine.
The blasts followed alleged Ukrainian attacks earlier this week on two major oil facilities in Bryansk.
The fire in Stara Nelidovka in the Belgorod region was extinguished.
