Bill Murray responded to a complaint on the set that stopped production

Bill Murray broke his silence about a complaint that stopped the production of his new film – and his answer is … he doesn’t want to be an old dog who can’t learn new tricks.

The actor spoke to CNBC on Saturday as he appeared at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholders’ meeting and was directly asked what prompted Searchlight Pictures to stop things in recent weeks after someone claimed he was behaving inappropriately.

ICYMI … Searchlight has stopped production of Aziz Ansari’s debut film, Being Mortal, and it has been reported that Bill is at the center of an ongoing investigation.

Although it is not yet clear what exactly may have happened, Bill agrees to be involved – he explains that he and a star woman he did not identify worked on stage together … and that he is obviously did something he thought was innocently funny.

However, the woman did not think so … and went to the management to present her complaint. Although it sounds dubious, BM makes it clear that he is in contact with the woman … and that he hopes that they can clarify their differences and return to filming soon.

Bill also says that times have evolved and he is learning this first hand right now – suggesting that he may have done things in the past that others find inappropriate … and how he doesn’t want to be abandoned as someone who is out of touch or deaf. He also wants to change.

He goes on to say that he does not want to be seen as a relic of a certain era, but as a person who adapts and can work a long life in his career. That said, he says he studies and listens … and he wants to adjust his sense of humor to adapt to others.

Last but not least … the cast for “BM” has only been partially announced and so far – there is only one great actress … Keke Palmer. As we have said, she has not been mentioned in this, but it is remarkable that she has recently been outspoken on such matters.
