West Ham and Arsenal went on holiday at London Stadium on equal terms after an exciting end to an otherwise boring first half.
It wasn’t until Rob Holding’s first goal in the Premier League, either side, took much of the chance when Arsenal defender – instead of the injured Ben White – threw a brilliant header past Lukasz Fabianski in the 38th minute.
Seconds later, Aaron Ramsdale was called into action and saved brilliantly from Declan Rice after hitting the Englishman in the near post after a corner.
The hosts reacted well to the lag, with Jarod Bowen improvising a cunning finish past Ramsdale just before the interval by deflecting Gabriel.
