Amber Heard fires PR team days before testimony in Johnny Depp’s defamation trial – National

As the highly publicized trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues for the third week, Heard has hired a new crisis management company to represent her.

According to NBC, Hurd – who is expected to testify in court this week – resigned from public relations company Precision Strategies on Thursday, just days before speaking in court. The high-profile company is co-founded by Stephanie Cutter, a former deputy campaign manager for the successful re-election campaign of former President Barack Obama.

Hurd, 36, acquired the team in early spring to prepare for the defamation lawsuit against his ex-husband, Depp, 58, who claims that the 2018 Washington Post’s Hrud article on domestic violence “devastated” his career and reputation. He is suing Hurd for $ 50 million in damages.

Although Hurd never mentioned Depp by name in the article, his legal team said her claim that she had become a “public figure representing domestic violence” was humiliating enough.
