WhatsApp gets a huge update that will make it more like Instagram

WHATSAPP is set to make a huge change to the offer to increase its unpopular status feature.

The platform released statuses in the app in 2017, but they were tucked away in their own section, leaving them almost ignored by most users.

But in a future update, it looks like WhatsApp will make a big push that will make it more like Instagram than ever.

According to leaked screenshots, technicians plan to add user statuses directly to the main chat list.

That way no one can miss it.

As WABetaInfo – which revealed the main change – explains: “If the user clicks on the chat cell, WhatsApp opens the conversation with the contact, but if he clicks on the profile picture of the contact who posted the status update, the status update is displayed.

“I’m sure more people will start viewing status updates posted by their contacts after this feature is released.”

It is not clear when WhatsApp plans to introduce the changes, as work on its construction is still ongoing.

And as always with early leaks like this, WhatsApp bosses could decide not to continue with it and abandon their plans.

This is also not the only tweak that the Meta-owned service is developing.

Testers also noticed new indicators from end to end.

This is not so important, but it seems that the footer will appear at the bottom of the chat list, reminding users that their chats are encrypted from end to end.

It was recently revealed that users may soon have the power to connect a second smartphone to their WhatsApp account.

How to join WhatsApp beta

To download the beta version of WhatsApp for your smartphone, you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.

Scroll down the page until you see Become a Beta Tester.

Touch the “I’m In” button, then click “Join” to confirm.

Now all you have to do is wait for the beta update of the app to update.

Joining the beta version of WhatsApp on the iPhone is more difficult and has limited capacity.
