Sir Keir Starmer has speculated that he will expel Labor MPs who do not express “unwavering support for NATO”.
He said he was “very clear” that support for the military alliance was “the root of the Labor Party”. The times announced Tuesday that Starmer’s allies want him to oust hard-line lawmakers from his party ahead of the next general election.
Asked about the Times Radio report, the Labor leader said: “We have been very clear about the expectations of our members of parliament when it comes to issues such as anti-Semitism, when it comes to the false equivalence that some claim between Russian aggression and NATO action. . I was very, very clear about that. And I will be very clear and firm about them
