Twitter again bans MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has been banned by Twitter for the second time after trying to use a new account to access the social media platform.

Lindell created a new Twitter account on Sunday under @MikeJLindell. The account was quickly stopped.

Twitter announced on Monday that Lindell’s new account has been suspended due to a breach of its rules to avoid the ban.

Lindell’s original Twitter account was permanently banned in January 2021 after Lindell continued to perpetuate the baseless claim that Donald Trump won the US presidential election in 2020. Then Twitter said it had decided to ban Lindell because of “multiple violations ”of its civil integrity policy.

Lindell, a Trump supporter, continues to insist that the presidential election was rigged even after the beginning of the administration of US President Joe Biden.

Trump has also permanently suspended his Twitter account. The former president posted on Truth Social, his own platform, on Thursday. He had not appeared on the platform, except for one quick post, before the platform opened to the public in late February. He said he has no plans to rejoin Twitter, even if his account is restored after Elon Musk’s agreement to buy the social media giant for approximately $ 44 billion.

Although it remains to be seen whether Musk will restore accounts banned on Twitter, Tesla’s CEO calls himself an absolutist of freedom of speech who believes in resolving any content that is against the law.
