A national test of the Alert Ready system will take place this morning.
Newfoundland and Labrador will issue a test message that will be broadcast on radio, television and wireless devices at 10:55 a.m., 10:25 a.m. in most of Labrador.
The Alert Ready system is used to allow public authorities to quickly alert the public to impending or unfolding threats to life.
Not all Canadians will receive a test warning on their wireless device depending on device compatibility, LTE network connection, cell tower settings and coverage.
