No major movement in the price of gas is expected tomorrow, but it is almost irrelevant at the moment, as the Utilities Council seems to be intervening every day to adjust the figures. Gas has risen about 10 cents in the past week, with the board turning on four times to make adjustments.
Dan McTeague, an analyst and president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, expects to see a significant drop in diesel, about 9 cents. McTeague says the bigger problem is that diesel is in short supply.
The closure of two East Coast refineries, including Come By Chance, is affecting supply, so McTeague expects to see PUB make more adjustments over the next few days. He also expects heating fuels to become slightly cheaper overnight.
