(Pocket-lint) – We are getting closer and closer to some official revelation or at least confirmation from Google that it works on a foldable phone, if you believe the expired and industry analysts.
This is reportedly something that has been under development for a very long time, but the latest intelligence suggests that the phone may not look too radical when it arrives.
Ross Young, an experienced industry source, says the phone will have a similar display size when opened for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung’s own upcoming revision of the largest foldable phone.
Z Fold 4 and Google foldable will have folding displays of similar size, but the Google cover screen will be much smaller by 5.8 “. This should mean that there will be a wider ratio of countries than Samsung 6 , 19 “Fold 4. Hear more in our conference next week.

The fact that there will be a smaller display, as Young points out, suggests that while the overall size of the internal displays may be similar, the ratio in which they are arranged may differ. This is good news for lovers of market diversity.
It’s also good, because while the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is an excellent and sophisticated foldable phone, some will find that it’s also very narrow when folded, so a squat, wider phone can fall well.
