A 23-year-old man from the Waterloo area died after a collision with a car near Walkerton.
In a press release, OPP said it had received a report of a collision under Concession 2 in the town of Greenwich at 4:37 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
Police, the Walkerton Fire Department and the Bruce County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) arrived on the scene and found that a pickup truck had left the road and stopped in the Teeswater River.
Gareth Rickert, 23, of the Waterloo region, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP said the incident was being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
