A Texas high school student killed a fellow student in a fight

A teenager from Texas has been charged with murder for allegedly fatally stabbing a fellow student in their high school bathroom this week, police said.

18-year-old Cason Tyler Alison is accused of killing Jose Luis “Joe” Ramirez Jr. after the two clashed Tuesday night at Belton High School on Tuesday morning, the Belton Police Department said.

Ramirez was taken to hospital and later died of his injuries.

Alison was arrested off campus about 20 minutes after the fight. He was charged with murder on Wednesday and sentenced to $ 1 million in Bell County Jail.

The deadly violence caused a blockade in the high school, after which the students were released one by one to their parents, KWTX reports.

“She is very close to home. You hear it all the time, but when it actually happens at home, it’s shocking because you start thinking about the community and thinking about the people you work with closely, who also have children who come here, “said parent Sarah Lopez. .

All classes at Belton High School were canceled on Thursday.
