Police in Edmonton smashed a suspected drug store

The Drugs and Gangs seized more than $ 500,000 worth of drugs, ammunition and firearms last month from a warehouse in northwest Edmonton.

According to the Edmonton Police Department, “various” intelligence prompted officers to search the warehouse near 141 Street and 128 Avenue.

“Hundreds” of ammunition, a stun gun and a 25-round automatic machine gun were found, as well as two full pistol magazines, police said Thursday.

Drugs found by police include:

  • 82 kilograms of chemicals used as a cutting agent for cocaine;
  • 3.17 kilograms of cocaine;
  • 710 grams of fentanyl powder; and
  • 394 fentanyl tablets.

During a search of the warehouse, officers found two sea containers. According to EPS, one was repurposed as micro-cultivation for suspected cannabis or psilocybin, while the other was used to produce steroids.

“Employees continue to investigate,” an EPS statement said.
