Police and ministry officials are investigating a fatal workplace accident in Levak on Friday.

In a statement, Greater Sudbury police said officers received a call shortly before 3pm about an incident in a winter salt and sand yard located on Municipal Road 8 in Levak.
“A 40-year-old man was found dead on arrival,” police said.
The Criminal Investigations Department of the police services, together with the Coroner’s Office and the Ministry of Labor, are investigating “what is standard after death in the workplace”.
The forensic investigation service will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
“Out of respect for the family, the name of the deceased will not be revealed,” police said.
