The Philadelphia 76ers did not enjoy their time in Miami for games 1 and 2. They returned home, falling behind 2-0 in the second round series after two serious defeats against Heath and striving to return to the track in Game 3. Joel Embiid missed the first two games with a concussion and a fractured face, but returned to the squad on Friday. His presence along with the game at home should provide a serious boost for the Sixers, who are in dire need of victory. After two quarters, the 76ers have a 41-34 lead over Heath.
The Sixers are 0-13 for all time in the series of the best of the seven, when they are 0-2 behind. Doc Rivers was also 0-3 in his career when he lost the first two games of a series of the top seven. Miami, meanwhile, is 16-0 when leading 2-0 (12-0 under Eric Spoelstra) in a seven-game streak. Heath is only a 3-11 record in his last 14 trips to Philadelphia, which works in favor of the 76ers for games 3 and 4. James Harden has struggled against Miami in the last games since the season. He finished with 20 points in Match 2, marking his 12th consecutive playoff game, scoring under 25 or more points. Embiid’s return will be huge, but Philly will need Harden to boost his game.
