The United Kingdom will break out this summer with five heat waves

This summer may be among the hottest in history, with some forecasters predicting a series of chirping heat waves. Temperatures will rise to 30C (86F) over the next two weeks – but some experts say the next three months will be even hotter.

Bright sunshine will be caused by a jet of hot air coming from Italy and France, reports Express. Government experts have already speculated that the summer may be warmer than average, and forecasters predict a series of chirping heats.

James Madden, a weather forecaster for Exacta Weather, said: “The overall summer forecast now points to at least four or five major heat waves. They will be built in the summer months, but at the moment August seems likely to bring these explosions in very hot weather. The first big summer may arrive in late May.

British Weather Services meteorologist Jim Dale said: “Before next weekend, the weather changes from warm to very warm or even hot. We could see that temperatures exceed the average of 20Cs to 26C in the period up to the middle of the month. A warm jet of air will cover high pressure over the UK, coming from the mainland, from France and Italy.

The quarterly forecast of the Met Office, published in early May, predicts that the probability of hot weather this summer will be twice as high as normal years. The fascinating prospect comes as the British prepare to step on the sunscreen with thermometers that will soon rise.

After the upcoming “pleasant” weekend sees temperatures rise to about 20C, the mercury will simmer to the point of ignition. Sun lovers should prepare T-shirts and sunscreen for the first blast at the end of next week.

While sun lovers can finally welcome the first flashes of summer this weekend, next weekend will be the time to light barbecues, Mr Dale said. “We have two good weekends ahead of us, but it’s the next weekend when it starts to really feel warm. This weekend will be pleasantly warm, although we expect temperatures to reach around 18 to 20 degrees.

Bookmakers once again took the ax of the hot summer odds with Ladbrokes, offering 4-1 with a record drop of 38.7C, 6-1 with a hose ban and 8-1 with a record melting heat wave.

Spokesman Alex Apatti said: “Odds suggest record temperatures could be at stake as we prepare to tighten up and undress for the summer heat.

The Meteorological Service defines a heat wave as three or more consecutive days and nights of extreme heat. Mercury will rise above the average by the end of next week, according to the meteorological service.

Meteorologist Alex Deakin said: “There is a strong signal that it will be warmer than average by the second half of next week. London could be very warm by the end of next week. It’s probably warm weather in the UK for sure, but warmer doesn’t always mean sunny. “

The high pressure driven by the jet stream “twisting” north of the UK will increase the heat, he said. He added: “Reactive steam is swirling up north and this edge high in the atmosphere allows high pressure to build up in the UK.

“This high pressure will bring most of us a nice and dry weekend. The high pressure continues to dominate over the weekend, probably early next week and maybe even after. “
