Vladimir Putin has expressed his military superiority and arsenal of nuclear weapons in a chilling new threat to the West.
The RS-24 Yars thermonuclear ballistic missile was shown during rehearsals for a Victory Day parade in Russia on Saturday, as the weapon was passed by rows of armed soldiers in a 16-wheeled car.
Experts fear the missile, which weighs nearly 50 tonnes, could carry up to 10 warheads as they watched it parade through Red Square in preparation for Monday’s event.
The intercontinental weapon can travel up to 24,500 km / h and hit targets at a distance of up to 12,000 km, which means that it can reach London in minutes, writes the Mirror.

Experts believe that Victory Day celebrations, marking the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany, could be used to try to rekindle the country’s stuttering invasion.
The parade will see Putin speaking in Red Square in front of a crowd of troops, tanks, missiles and missiles.
The 69-year-old Kremlin leader repeatedly likened the war in Ukraine to the challenge to the Soviet Union when Adolf Hitler’s Nazis invaded in 1941.
The deadly rocket, shown in public, is a chilling reminder of Russia’s power as Putin deploys what his arsenal is capable of, reportedly desperately desperate to declare war on Ukraine.
The UK Ministry of Defense declined to comment on the missile’s testimony.
This comes when the former UK ambassador to Russia said Putin was in an “impossible position” because he had suffered heavy losses and “no one will forget what he did”.
Sir Andrew Wood said he believed Putin had suffered more casualties in Ukraine than in Afghanistan, and that if the Kremlin chief continued on the path of war he was on, there would be no “settled outcome”.

Speaking to Kay Burley on Sky News on Thursday morning, he said: “Well, he thought he would win it long before that, but he’s actually losing it a lot, and I think we need to realize that he can’t win the war. in the sense of achieving an settled result.
“No one in Ukraine will forget what he did and what his forces did and the way they did it – that in itself is a defeat.”
He said it was believed that Moscow had already lost “more Russian troops than it lost during the war in Afghanistan” when 15,000 people were killed.

Sir Andrew added that this puts Putin in an “impossible position” in Ukraine.
The former ambassador added that Russian propaganda “is not interested in the truth”, suggesting that Vladimir Putin “will try to make a story” to explain the slow movement.
Asked whether talks between Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky were possible, he said: “I do not think there will be a real dialogue until the results in the eastern regions are clear.
“If Russia continues to lose troops at the speed they are, then they could talk about Russia’s withdrawal on the merits.
“If he wins by killing more Ukrainians, it is still not a victory because it is not a permanent solution.
