A man was killed and three others were injured in a shooting while driving in Laval Cue.

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night in the Chomedi sector of Laval, north of Montreal.

Three other people were also injured in the shooting, which took place on Boures-Label Boulevard.

Police were called around 1 a.m. after a car with five passengers inside was shot at.

A 28-year-old man was in the car and succumbed to his injuries after medical services tried to revive him several times, said Laval (SPL) police spokesman Stephanie Beshara.

Another man was also shot and transported to hospital with serious injuries, but without danger to life.

Two others were slightly injured but were not shot.

The circumstances surrounding this event are yet to be clarified by investigators.

Passengers in the car are not yet known to police, Beshara said.

It was the first of two shootings in the Montreal-Laval area last night.
