A retiree from Glasgow died after crashing into a tree in horror

A pensioner died after crashing into a tree in Glasgow.

Emergency services rushed to Glasgow Road in the Garouhill area of ​​the city after the alarm was raised around 8.20 am on Sunday, April 24.

Employees received a signal for the crash of a car after the black Audi A3 went off the road and crashed into a tree.

Ambulance crews arrived and the 80-year-old driver was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Cops today confirmed that OAP has already died from his injuries.

Police say the investigation into the crash is ongoing and are appealing for information from anyone who may have information.

Sergeant Douglas Scott of the Glasgow Traffic Police Department said: “At this time, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased after their tragic loss.

“As we continue our investigations, I would urge anyone who has information that could help with our investigation or any video footage to contact us.”
