Mother’s Day tragedy: 3 children found dead at the West Hills home
Los Angeles police are investigating after three children aged 8-12 were found dead at their home in the West Hills.
LOS ANGELES, California – The mother was arrested after three children were found dead at a home in the West Hills on Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The crime scene includes three different homes on this 22,000 block of Victoria Boulevard. The LAPD responded to calls from 911 neighbors at 7:40 a.m. Sunday morning. At first, the calls looked like a deadly weapon attack.
Officers found 3 dead children in the home – two boys and a little girl. Their ages range from 8 to 12, and paramedics say the children have been dead for several hours since they arrived.
The mother was identified by authorities Monday as Angela Dawn Flores. The 38-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of murder and is on $ 6 million bail.

Flores was immediately detained and taken to a mental hospital and then taken into custody. She was arrested Sunday night, but has not yet been charged, according to the LAPD.
Neighbors say they heard screams and fighting before calling police.
“I couldn’t see anyone and I kept hearing ‘My family is abusing me’ and I just heard screams, but I couldn’t understand what she was saying,” said neighbor Priscilla Canales.
The LAPD also confirmed that another child was involved. This child is unharmed, police say they fled to a neighbor’s house.
The investigation continues.
