The English Bridge in Shrewsbury
Police are appealing for information after the attack, which took place near the English Bridge in Shrewsbury around 22.15 on Sunday, May 2.
Shrewsbury police said the victim, a 20-year-old woman, was punched in the face and pushed after disturbing the man.
Now they are appealing to everyone who witnessed the incident to call.
A police spokesman said: “A 20-year-old woman was walking towards the bridge when she was disturbed by a man who seemed to be urinating in a bush.
“The man then punched the woman in the face before pushing her away.
“The woman has minor injuries.
“The suspect is described as a white man wearing dark pants and a dark shirt with a high collar.
“Officials believe this is an isolated incident.
“Anyone who was in the area of Greyfriars Bridge and English Bridge at the time of the incident and saw something that could help the officers was asked to contact us.
