Nintendo shared with its fans another edition of its Indie World Showcase and once again gave a look at the future of Switch’s indie games. In this approximately 20-minute show, Nintendo shared updates for already announced games and revealed many new ones to follow.
From Another Crab’s Treasure Soulslike to Soundfall’s rhythmic dungeons to the enchanting world of Ooblets, there was a wide range of genres on display in the 15 games featured in this latest Indie World Showcase. To make sure you don’t miss anything, we’ve put together all the messages and trailers below to hope you can find your next favorite indie game.
Ooblets and his charming world arrive on the Switch this summer
Ooblets will be released in early access for Xbox and PC in July 2020, and Switch owners will soon be able to visit its fascinating world when it is launched on the platform in the summer of 2022. Along with growing and training creatures called Ooblets, Players will also need to help Badgetown grow and prosper. Like Animal Crossing, Ooblets gives players the freedom to customize, craft, make friends with their neighbors and much more. Oh, and you can take part in “epic dance battles” and who doesn’t want that?
Save your planet in the ‘Interplanetary Action-RPG’ Batora: Lost Haven
Batora: Lost Haven is an “interplanetary action RPG” that aims to mix the best parts of a hack-and-slash game with that of a two-stick shooter. As a 16-year-old girl, Avril, players will have to use her strength to save her home planet after a catastrophic event changes everything.
This story-driven adventure will be released on Switch in the fall of 2022.
ElecHead is a game to return “light to the world”
Nama Takahashi made a prototype of ElecHead as part of a school competition and Switch owners will soon have a chance to try it out for themselves when it launches in the summer of 2022. As a small robot named Elec, players will have to “bring backlight to the world” by using electricity that activates objects when Elec comes in contact with them. He can also throw his head to help solve these challenges, but the 10-second off timer will ensure that his mind and heart are not separated for too long.
Soundfall is a Dungeon Crawler with rhythm-based music gameplay
If you’ve ever wanted your dungeons to have a little more music in them, Soundfall is worth a look. This rhythm-based dungeon lottery shooter from Drastic Games and Noodlecake puts players in the shoes of the Keeper of Harmony, who must destroy the forces of Discord. If you can stay in rhythm, you will become even more powerful and more than 140 songs and up to four players, local and online multiplayer, will keep things fresh for many plays. The best part? Available later today.
Save the world from eternal frost in Tactical Roguelike Deckbuilder Wildfrost
Wildfrost is the latest entry into the deck-building genre and adds tactical and roguelike elements, along with asking players to stop the eternal frost. In addition to the standard gameplay based on maps, players will be able to customize and upgrade accompanying maps, build a city hub and much more.
Wildfrost will make its way to the Switch this holiday season.
The fully accurate battle simulator allows you to create the funniest battles of your dreams
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator took over the computer world with a storm in 2019, when it allowed players predict the battles of Game of Thrones and whether Steam was better than the Epic Games Store. The amount of customization is one of the strongest aspects of TABS and allows you to create the war scenario of your dreams and watch it play out in a fun way.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator will make its way to Switch this summer.
Gunbrella is a noir-punk side scroller that includes a deadly weapon usually reserved for the rain
Take the role of a rough forester and join the action battle with side scrolling with your mysterious Gunbrella ☂️

Gunbrella puts his favorite rain deflector in the driver’s seat, as it will help players make their way through a noir-punk world that could very well lose all its natural resources if nothing is done about it. Players will be able to upgrade the titular Gunbrella and interact with a diverse cast.
Gunbrella is expected to be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2023.
We Are OFK tells the story of a growing group in Los Angeles
We Are OFK is a “journey to form a band” that will take players through the ups and downs of trying to make a dream come true in Los Angeles. This playable animated series starring Itsumi Saito and an all-voice cast will launch this summer and new episodes will be released each week.
Dive deep into the “terrifying ocean abyss” to solve SILT puzzles
Spiral Circus and Fireshine Games will send players into the “terrifying ocean abyss” to solve mind-boggling puzzles at SILT, which will be released on Switch in June 2022. As they explore this underwater world, players will be able to own sea creatures to solve puzzles and interact and learn the many secrets that the ocean has to offer.
Mini-highways allow you to solve the world’s traffic problems
Dinosaur Polo Club wants to enable its players to solve global traffic problems in Mini Autoways. The main mission of this game, first launched at Apple Arcade in 2019, is to design the roads of a city to serve the best interests of its citizens. While things may start out simple, highways and roundabouts and upgrades will keep players on their toes and keep them up to date with ever-changing demand.
Mini highways will be available on the Switch later today.
Become a Casey Beaumaris journalist and travel to Curious Flying Hospital on the Wayward Strand
Wayward Strand will allow players to become teenage journalist Casey Beaumaris and travel to a “curious flying hospital” full of patients and their touching stories. In addition to learning more about those currently staying in the hospital, Beaumaris will also need to learn more about the place where she suddenly found herself.
Located in rural Australia since the 1970s, Wayward Strand includes over a dozen characters to follow, and you can choose which stories you want to see unfold during a particular game. Experience this world for yourself when Wayward Strand came out on the Switch on July 21, 2022.
Pay off your debt and become a possessed lamb in the Cult of the Lamb
The action-adventure game Cult of the Lamb and its randomly generated world will be released on Switch later this year and puts players on the hooves of a possessed lamb that has been “saved from destruction by a foreboding stranger.” During the game, players will have to pay off their debt by building a community, conquering dangerous dungeons, accumulating resources and much more.

Aggro Crab “Soulslike” on the theme of crustaceans. Another cancer treasure plays the role of a hermit crab, which must use over 50 different shells to overcome some of the most dangerous threats under the polluted sea in this world. Crab’s Treasure will make its way to the Switch in 2023.
Nintendo Indie World Showcase includes editing of additional upcoming games
Although these games were not included in their own segment, today’s Indie World Showcase includes editing of some upcoming indie titles, including Card Shark, A Guidebook of Babel, OneShot: World Machine Edition, Cursed to Golf and Idol Manager.
