The second man is now charged with murder in a fatal attack on CRAB Park

On Tuesday, Vancouver police announced that a second man had been arrested and charged with Wadden’s death. David Bentill, 18, is now charged with second-degree murder.

Police were sent to a park in Downtown Eastside on Saturday around 10:20 a.m. after a 45-year-old man was attacked.

Andrew Wadden received life-threatening injuries in the attack and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A day later, 26-year-old Eric Kim was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

On Tuesday, Vancouver police announced that a second man had been arrested and charged with Wadden’s death.

David Bentill, 18, is also charged with second-degree murder.

It is not known whether Wadden and the suspects knew each other. Police also did not say a specific cause of death.

Wadden’s death was Vancouver’s fourth assassination in 2022.
