Broncos successor Jerry Judy has been arrested in Arapaho County

Denver Broncos successor Jerry Judy was arrested Thursday in Arapaho County in connection with an investigation into domestic violence.

Judy has been jailed on a second-degree felony charge with a strengthening of the domestic violence sentence, according to the sheriff’s office.

He is currently being held without bail.

A person commits second-degree criminal manipulation if he “falsifies the property of another with the intent to cause injury, inconvenience or annoyance to that person or another, or if he knowingly makes an unauthorized connection to the property of a utility company,” according to Colorado statutes.

Judy, who was detained between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., is under investigation. He has not been formally charged.

He was arrested for probable reasons and there is no sworn declaration of arrest in the case, according to the sheriff’s office.

Broncos issued a statement Thursday afternoon: “We are aware of the Jerry Judy issue and are in the process of gathering more information.

Judy, 23, attended Broncos’ off-season training, including last month’s volunteer mini-camp.

Choosing a first-round draft from Alabama in 2020, Jeudy has 90 catches for 1,323 yards and three touchdowns in 26 career games.

This is an evolving story and will be updated.
