The long-awaited Pixel 6a was launched on Google I / O 2022. At launch, Google only listed US prices and availability. Now, however, the company has confirmed which countries will receive the Pixel 6a.
Just like the Pixel 6 series, the new Pixel 6a will have a limited version. It will be available in only 14 markets. However, this is still an improvement over the Pixel 5a, which was launched in only two markets: the United States and Japan.
Here’s how much you’ll have to pay for Pixel 6a in your country:
- Australia: 749 Australian dollars
- Canada: 599 Canadian dollars
- France: 459 euros
- Germany: 459 euros
- Japan: ¥ 53,900
- Republic of Ireland: EUR 459
- Singapore: 749 SGD
- Spain: 459 euros
- Taiwan: 13,990 NTD
- United Kingdom: £ 399
- USA: $ 449
With the exception of Ireland and Singapore, all markets will receive three colors: sage, chalk and charcoal. Google has not shared when you will be able to order or purchase the phone in advance in these countries. In addition to the above markets, the Pixel 6a also comes in India. But it looks like we’ll have to wait a while for Google to reveal Indian prices.
People in the United States can pre-order the Pixel 6a from July 21, with sales starting July 28. Google’s latest affordable smartphone brings some notable improvements over its predecessor, including a new design, faster chipset and improved camera performance.
In terms of specs, the Pixel 6a features a 6.1-inch AMOLED display, an internal Google Tensor chipset, dual 12MP cameras, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 4306mAh battery and a built-in fingerprint reader. It also brings some new camera features like Magic Eraser, Real Tone and Face Blur. As for the software, the phone runs Android 12 out of the box and has been confirmed to receive five years of security updates.
