Sam Ryder has revealed that he has made an unlikely friendship with Jamie Lee Curtis from Freaky Friday.
The 32-year-old Eurovision candidate explained that Jamie, 63, was a “fan” of him, an idea he found “surreal”.
Support is coming as Sam is set to represent the United Kingdom in Saturday’s Eurovision final.

Speaking to The Daily Star, the singer shared details of his friendship with Jamie, noting: “Jamie is so encouraging from day one, she is so wonderful. She is an absolute legend.
“I hope to meet her one day and talk about music. She loves music and is such an interesting woman.
Sam went on to say that the idea of having such a famous fan was “surreal”, adding: “It was surreal in the beginning, the fact that she is a fan of mine will always be surreal.

“She would be amazing. She is not only amazing as a singer, musician, writer and person. But she was the first person to support me on social media in blocking, “he explained.
Continuing, Sam said: “Justin Bieber sent her my video, which is a crazy sentence and she posted it on her Instagram page with a really kind, encouraging message below it and it would be really nice to finish the round and meet her, work with her. That would be a dream come true!
